SGAD govt. college Tarn Taran - A prestigious temple of learning, working under the principles of the great Guru Arjan Dev Ji since its inception in 1966, has grown into an epicentre of intellectual and aesthetic activities in the region. It started as a private enterprise in 1966, later it was taken over by Punjab Govt. on June 2, 1974.
It would be pertinent to add that it is the only govt. co-educational college catering to the needs of students in the region. It started as a sapling and has stands fully prepared today to meet the challenges of changing times. It started as a monofaculty college and today the institution imparts instruction in faculty of Science, Humanities and Commerce up to graduation level and Computer Science up to Master level.
